Almost entirely edited-in-camera, the film is a spontaneous encounter with the Tsukiji, the largest sea food market in the world. Auctioneers of tuna are singing in the great commotion of thousands of buyers. In this abattoir of the sea, one observes a refined sense in dissecting and preparing the fish, and is led to meditate on questions of man's increasing voracity and the ocean's fading generosity.
